位于市區東部，是新一輪城市擴張的重點區域，規劃范圍191平方公里，包括泊于、橋頭兩鎮全部及崮山鎮部分轄區。其中城市建設用地面積45平方公里，規劃人口40—45萬。規劃區的開發建設主體為經濟技術開發區。

Located in the east of Weihai City,the East Coastal New Town is a key part of the brand new expansion of the City.It covers an area of 191 square kilometers including the whole area of Poyu Townand QiaoTou Town,and part of Gushan Town. The total planningarea for city construction is 45 square kilometers with future population about400,000 and 450,000. Weihai Economic & Technological Development Zone willbe the main body of development of this new town.

Strategic positioning: Promote the city eastern directionexpansion, foster and develop a new  city area. Enhance the business and public servicefunction, to drive regional development; Features as healthy leisure Habitat,develop a thousand-kilometer happiness coast. Business office, cultural andcreative industries, coastal tourism and ocean economy research will be the keypoints of the development of the new town.

規劃結構：建設以行政辦公、金融、商務、信息服務和總部經濟為主導的新城先行區域；規范提升橋頭工業園，培育高科技藍色產業；集中建設標志性會展和文化設施的東部文化產業基地；打造濱海旅游觀光帶和五渚河、逍遙河、石家河三條休閑景觀軸，建設生態宜居社區。

Planning structure:Construct a new economic pilot area lead by finance, commerce, informationservices and headquarter economy; enhance QiaotouIndustrial Park to foster high-techindustries; concentrate on building the eastern base with a landmark exhibitioncenter and cultural industries area; build coastal tourism area and Wuzhu River,Xiaoyao River,Shijia River three leisure landscape axis, andconstruct livable communities.
